Juvenile Shags by WNPhotography Juvenile Shags by WNPhotography
3 juvenile shags photographed on the Farne Islands, Northumberland.

Photographed with an ultra wide angle 14mm lens and Nikon D700 body (full frame) so had to be just a few inches away for this!

Very cool shot. The lighting on the birds looks very natural, given that the sun it above and behind them, so good job with the flash (if that's what you used). I'm not sure I like the blurred cliff in the lower right. It gives the picture some depth but I think distracts from how big and blue the ocean is. Regardless, great shot. I really like it.

you're welcome! :)

*following on facebook*

do you have a special strategy for selling prints? read on fb that you finally got your Nikon D4 and that seeling prints seemed to be an essential part of financing it. Tried to sell prints but haven't sold a single one to date. (k, a lack of good pictures sure is a reason - but I'd like to know if there's more to it. Tried many different platforms so far.)

Wow, great shot! They look like they're posing for the picture. I love the rocks and the ocean in the background.

A nicely framed photograph using kit that wouldn't be my first choice for photographing birds. The choice of the 14mm lens is what makes this stand out Along with some nice lighting and the aforementioned framing so a well deserved feature for your efforts :)
